All of our tea is sourced from Rainforest Alliance Certified™ tea gardens in Kenya & Malawi. Typhoo Gold also contains tea from Assam in India. The tea is prepared and blended, before being shipped to the UK for packing.

Yes. As part of Typhoo’s latest refresh, we’ve invested in a better-quality blend, with a greater focus on responsibly and ethically sourced tea. The new blend has been carefully developed and extensively tested to deliver a quality, well-rounded everyday brew, while supporting our commitment to sourcing tea more responsibly. It’s all part of making sure there’s more "ooO" in every brew.

We’ve removed the foil wrapping from our standard packs as part of our efforts to reduce unnecessary packaging. Extensive shelf-life testing confirmed that removing the foil does not impact the quality or shelf life of the tea when stored correctly. We recommend keeping your Typhoo in a cool, dry place away from strong odours and sealing the pack or storing your tea bags in an airtight container once opened.

You may have noticed that your Typhoo tea bags look a little different. As part of our latest refresh, we’ve moved from square to round tea bags to help reduce waste in manufacturing. While the shape may have changed, each bag has been designed to deliver a great brew and the quality you’d expect from Typhoo. We’ve also made further improvements to our tea bags following feedback to make them easier to separate and use.

Everyone is different! We recommend brewing for at least 1 minute, but up to 5 if you fancy something stronger. Add milk and sugar to taste.
