At Typhoo Tea, every cup tells a story - and our story begins at The Plant, our dedicated manufacturing facility in Gloucester, UK.
Nestled in the heart of the country, The Plant is more than just a factory - it’s the place where our heritage blends seamlessly with innovation.
Every minute of the day, thousands of Typhoo tea bags are blended, packed, and prepared for delivery to homes across the UK and beyond. This is made possible by our investment in cutting-edge machinery and an expert team of engineers, operators, and quality control specialists, many of whom bring years of experience and a passion for tea that’s second to none.
While our technology ensures consistency, it’s the people behind it who bring the heart. Whether it's selecting the finest tea blends or maintaining the exacting standards we’re known for, The Plant is driven by a shared purpose: delivering the perfect cup of tea, every time.
We’ve designed The Plant with the planet in mind. All of our boxed products are made using 100% FSC-certified cardboard, and our polybags are fully recyclable — helping us and our customers reduce environmental impact.
We also work hard to minimise waste. Not every tea bag makes the cut, but none go to landfill. Our state-of-the-art systems separate the tea from the paper, ensuring each component can be reused or recycled. It’s just one part of our ongoing journey toward creating a more sustainable future for tea production.
But we know we can go further. That’s why sustainability continues to be a key focus for our team at The Plant. From exploring alternative materials to reducing our energy consumption and water usage, we're always looking for ways to improve and innovate responsibly.
As we look to the future of Typhoo under the ownership of Supreme, The Plant will continue to be at the heart of everything we do: making great tea accessible to everyone - responsibly and reliably.
So next time you pop the kettle on to enjoy a cup of Typhoo, know that it was made with care - right here in Gloucester. Because at Typhoo, it’s not just about making tea. It’s about making moments, and memories, in every brew. Now that’s worth an “ooO”!
